Having an extension done at the moment. Is it the done thing to get a present for our builder? I love him if that makes a difference.

What do you mean by love, exactly?

I got mine a bottle of wine each, and Christmas selection boxes for their kids. I felt getting something for their DC took any potential cringiness out of it!

Fab, thanks.

LineRunner, am not planning on giftwrapping my pants or anything Wink but he's been brilliant so far - his attitude was completely different to any of the other builders we asked to quote for the job (for example - he was the only one of the three who actually got back to me with a quote, and who didn't act completely uninterested in the whole thing), working into the night when a concrete delivery was late, then coming back on a Saturday morning to finish that bit off. I just meant if he was eg not turning up more than a couple of times a week then I probably wouldn't even be thinking about it.

He told me biscuits are his weakness so might get some of those for him and his family. It's really only him then he contracts in other workers as he needs them, though brickies started today and presumably they're going to be here for a while, so maybe I should get them something too Confused
