Undermounted sink

Hi,
we are getting a dark quartz worktop in our light oak kitchen.
We are indecisive regarding the sink. These are our options
a) inset ceramic sink
b) undermounted steel sink with 4 grooves in the quartz worktop
I am inclined to go for option b as it highlights the beauty of the worktop. But thinking on the practical reasons, we are afraid that the groves in the granite will not be enough to drain the water without letting spill over the floor.
Can somebody share their experience with undermounted sinks please?
Many thanks
Flor

Undermounts sinks are better. You may want to consider a recessed drainer area rather than just grooves to contain the water better. Beware though that the polish on quartz in the recessed area after recessing wont be as good as that on the rest of the worktop. Alternatively a good fabricator will be able to rebate. mill and refit the worktop, retaining the finish on the top and giving you the same look. It will cost more.
