Love this house. Think it should be a museum though rather than being modernised.

Wow - amazing! would love to see that restored. Really rightmove should insist that the estate agents go back in a year or 2 to retake the pictures so we can all see the result!

It only needs a lick of paint and it would be perfect

Oh please please please don't let it be bought by someone wanting to just gut and modernise it.

I could just move into it as it is Smile

Wow that's amazing how untouched it is. Reminds me of a girl i went to school with who lived in the house built by her grandfather, probably same sort of vintage as this house. It had the original gas lights and carpets and everything.

Makes me sad to think just how many houses that have had the heart ripped out of them in the name of modernisation. That house is just lovely.

Wow - that's fabulous! Rewiring, replumbing, new kitchen, new bathrooms - £100k to get it habitable?

I think they need to refuse to sell it to anyone who plans to modernise, split it into flats or turn it into a business

custardo · 22/11/2013 17:36

can you imagine how wonderful that bath would look

Tractorandtree · 22/11/2013 17:38

I'd so love that, shame it's not somewhere nearer London

I agree 17leftfoot.

I really, really hate the way people ruin houses with vile, cheap double-glazing Angry

Why arn't they showing the kitchen? I bet that's too awful to even show.

My gran had a bath with a surround like that but it was oval and huge - it was a great treat to be allowed a bath in it as a child because it was like swimming.

O.m.g.

It's like Beatrix Potter as a house!

I love it!

I would love to get my hands on a house like that! What a labour of love, but how wonderful it would be if you had the money to have it all properly restored.

I really hope it doesn't end up being modernised.
