Pity they haven't run the central heating pipes under the floor.

It just looks so sad.

The parquet floor is gorgeous

Oooh that needs some work but it could look amazing.

Those curtains are too short.

YY agree layout a bit weird
And I would be V wary of scary looking repairs and what else is needed
But oh! the ceiling heights and the floor and the lovey windows
(knocked arms on my ceiling putting on my top this morning) Sad

The curtains really bug me too pancake Grin.

It could be like living in a mini stately home.

Blimey, that needs a lot of work! £700,000 for 3 beds in that location is an absolute steal, it must need rewiring, replumbing, the lot.

But it is gorgeous.

I cant see past the curtains. Who hangs curtains that length?

Report
TheSmallPrint · 21/11/2013 14:22

Why are the curtains that short??

It looks cold. But could be beautiful.

lots like that in Hampstead for £2m... very Strawbery Hill gothic. Lovely (once it's been comprehensively worked on...). Would enlarge the kitchen into the adjacent bedroom for big / windowed eat in kitchen &turn the smaller recep into a bedroom. Heck of a trot in the night to get to the loo!

I also stalled on th curtains....for quite a while..who does hinge curtains that length?

Needs to loose a bedroom and gain a kitchen.

Don't like the fireplaces or panelling but ceiling are great, windows good ( minus half mast curtains) light good.

It's a lot of cash though, London :-(

I thought that too Leopolda - then you have the bedrooms together.

With a bit of work that place would be jaw droppingly stunning.

Very much 'not my thing'.

It's clear that the curtains share my love of parquet flooring Grin

I loved the floor! :-)

They must have measured them wrong??

Report
PontyPants · 21/11/2013 14:35

I didn't notice the curtains - went back to look
I reckon some feckwit washed em, no?

Looks very draughty, bit chilly.

Must be huge rooms at that sq ft.

Perfect for an episode of most haunted :o

I wouldn't wanna be there at night that's for sure

It just looks old and haunted and creepy

Just down the road from me! Beautiful but would cost a fortune to heat!

Gorgepus but, yes, crap layout. I thought £700k was a bit toppy for the area: it's essentially Sydenham isn't it? Is it the road with the lovely Lubetkin house?
