Replacing Ikea track light in kitchen - DIY or handyman/electrician?

I have an Ikea track light in the kitchen that has stopped working. Apparently the transformer has gone. I need to replace it but am rather short of £. Are they fairly straightforward to replace? I think I would happily have a go with the electric turned off obviously and I would buy a current tester thing. Are they reasonably easy? Thanks.

They are easy but you are supposed to have an electrical certificate or something now to change a light fitting.

If it's a straight forward like for like replacement it's not too hard and you do not need to use an electrician as this job is exempt under the regs Part P FAQs
However if you are in anyway unsure or it's not a straight swap then I would get an electrician as you don't muck around with electrics. At best it can hurt, at worst it can kill/ burn down your house.
