Second home owners - best insurance companies ?

just got our renewal form through today and it has gone up again

I am determined to be a bit more efficient this year and search around a bit and try and get a good deal - but am aware that many insurance companies wont touch second homes especially if, like ours they are not let out at all.

Can anyone suggest any good ones or maybe more importantly ones to avoid ?

Bedford Insurance in Wimbledon are brokers. I've always found them helpful and they do a wide range but not sure if they do what you're after. We've used them for holiday home/landlord policies.
