That's good price if it includes carpets etc. Did that include a kitchen? Where in country are u?

Talkinpeace Thu 01-Aug-13 09:16:13

all in, including VAT and everything
I managed a lot of the subbies myself
and hired the decorators and carpet fitters

When u say £1500 was that including VAT or plus VAT?

henryhsmum Thu 01-Aug-13 09:13:50

Not too bad I guess, I was thinking £1200 plus VAT but not decorated and without kitchen units and appliances (including fitting of units but not supply of)

when I had my work done, I had a spreadsheet of the WHOLE project and the 1500 was right through to fully decorated

We're in Staffordshire and have accepted a quote of 1100 per square metre, although it is DH's mate so is slightly lower than normal rates.

1500 top

As a rough idea, how much should I expect to pay per square metre for a straightforward single storey kitchen extension with sloping, lean to style roof, excluding kitchen fittings. In Shropshire, so Midlands/north west border.
