Soooooo, we have had the floors sanded and stripped and the clear Osmo hard wax oil and the clear varnish samples our floor man has laid down look TERRIBLE!!! There are just TOO many colour inconsistencies in the pine boards for it to work! (it's a mix of reclaimed & original floorboards in a 1930s property) We have tried samples of varying shades of stain and they are not working either! :(
So we have decided to go with a floor paint instead and paint them white. Just wondering if anyone had any thoughts or experiences with the Farrow and Ball water-based floor paint or the Little Greene company floor paint? Thank you so much, any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated, this has turned out to be such a headache! :(
