F&B floor paint or Little Greene company?

Soooooo, we have had the floors sanded and stripped and the clear Osmo hard wax oil and the clear varnish samples our floor man has laid down look TERRIBLE!!! There are just TOO many colour inconsistencies in the pine boards for it to work! (it's a mix of reclaimed & original floorboards in a 1930s property) We have tried samples of varying shades of stain and they are not working either! :(
So we have decided to go with a floor paint instead and paint them white. Just wondering if anyone had any thoughts or experiences with the Farrow and Ball water-based floor paint or the Little Greene company floor paint? Thank you so much, any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated, this has turned out to be such a headache! :(

The Little Greene Company floor paint is oil based BTW... Didn't know which was the better option really, oil or water based?

Dulux trade range do a hard coating type for walls (it costs more than f&b) - I would look to find similar trade range for floors. We have one of each in various rooms in our home according to wear/tear they'll be under. F&b is hard to clean without scrubbing off paint (study), little is much better (hall), the dulux (in kids room) is an easiest to wipe. I used a bit of the f&b for wood on an ikea kids table which gets wiped down few times daily and after 3 months, I'm going to need to repaint. Just saying.

Thank you so much! That rules F&B out then! I will check out what Dulux has to offer!

We used specialist floor paint, which I think I bought in Homebase, by International. I am lazy, so only did one coat of a darker shade, and it looked so good I didn't do the second. It really needs the second now, two years later, but I'm waiting until we finish our building work. I did a mid-grey downstairs and white upstairs (white did take two coats I'm afraid, but I didn't undercoat which might have helped). I actually love my painted boards more than properly restored boards (we are also 1930s).

Thanks Builders, reassuring to hear, all feels a bit scary at the moment but I got fed up with the carpet! Still considering wether to go for a colour or white? Do you prefer one over the other?

I like the grey downstairs because it matches our colour scheme, but the white upstairs looks lovely (although does show the dirt something rotten, we clean with a damp mop).

WeLeaseWodger, is it F&B/Little Greene floor or wall paint you are referring to in your home? (Sorry if that is a dumb question)
Thank you builder! I just need to make my mind up now...
