it's a bad sign so keep looking at other houses. Let the agent know in case they think they can get away with pissing you about.

changes and slippages, if they happen more than once, mean you haven't got a reliable transaction.

That was what they said, but now aren't hmm

Its harder for us as we've 2 houses in 2 areas with kids at different schools!

I was hoping it was you so we could sort it out through mumsnet instead of solicitors!

Could your sellers move into rented for a short while? If it's that or risk losing their sale? Or could you do this? Hope you get it sorted.

To be fair I think its the top of the chain that is delaying things, but we can only wait so long or will lose our buyers

FedupofTurkey Wed 08-May-13 12:54:30

Ours had agreed to move out as we need a quick sale, but now aren't hmm

Would be far too coincidental if you were also in Yorkshire and it is you, surely? I hope your sellers are trying as hard as us to make things right for you though. It's such a stressful time for all involved, isn't it?

FedupofTurkey Wed 08-May-13 12:52:47

Nope not me. Thanks for your point of view though, hope all goes okay for you

Yorks, It's not you is it? I haven't heard back whether the date I said is ok yet, I'm worrying it's all going to fall through too...

FedupofTurkey Wed 08-May-13 12:39:22

Beano - whereabouts in the country are you?!!!! Not specific details obviously!

BeanoNoir Wed 08-May-13 11:28:49

Ooh, I hope you're not our buyer. We had to move the completion date through no fault of our own, then saw how difficult this made things for our buyers. I have just had a day of trying to pull out all the stops to get completion date closer to what they want and hope I have managed it. If it is you and you haven't spoke to your sellers estate agent since 9.30 this morning then do so now!

If it isn't you then unless they're being really awkward I'd imagine your sellers aren't happy about having to mess you about and are just as worried as you about the whole thing falling through. Can you think of any solutions on either side that might help you to get closer to what you want?

FedupofTurkey Wed 08-May-13 11:22:46

Special - i have, we need to move fast but the goalposts have changed, not happy

anything can happen until exchange, when things get set in stone (or if they do change, big penalties).

tell your solicitor to sort out what is going on.

Its moved once, i have a feeling it will move again. Am wondering whether to pull out now
