When taking pictures etc down is it simply a case of scraping a little polyfilla over the hole or do I need to paint too? :)

Match paint make it as though there was never a hole

Making good is a woolly definition at the best of times but personally I would fill & sand. Most houses we've been in have just left hooks up to be honest and we've done it ourselves.

Meant to say if you've got the paint to hand it would be nice if you touched up but not a necessity.

Probably have the paint but you can bet your bottom dollar that it will dry as a different colour :)

unless it is in the contract, or unless you happen to have the right paint, or are going to paint the entire room, I'd suggest leaving the hooks. That means the new people can just chuck some pictures on them until they do the full redecorate.

just like we are doing!
