Velcro ones directly to window frame would keep out most light, but depends if you mind putting up/taking down.

Minimommy, you're a genius! I actually have The Gro Company blackout blind that attaches with suckers (pain!) I'll buy some Velcro and do my own!

We have blackout roller blinds in both DC rooms, which work brilliantly and are less of a faff to put up every night than the Gro blind (we have this too). Cost a lot less than expected, £60 for a 2m wide window.

Thank you Mum, think ts the first time anyone has called me that Grin
They sell the Velcro on the accessories page, I'm not sure if its special stuff on regular stuff from sewing shop IYKWIM. They also sell magnet thing to roll up anything you put up out of the way

I currently have expensive black out liners fixed to back of my curtains and they let in loads of light Sad

Wilkinsons do blackout blinds that work. So does Argos

My DC still have blackout blinds at 7 and 10! Because they sleep so well I am reluctant to change them.
Got from Dunelm many moons ago.
