Kitchen taps (again)

Has anyone recently had a new kitchen mixer tap fitted? What type did you go for, and are you happy with the choice? Don't want anything too fancy or pricey, but do want good quality... Getting really confused by too much choice. I can see myself making an expensive mistake.

We installed a Franke Eiger kitchen tap, v. pleased with it. One of the few indulgences in our otherwise cheap kitchen.
