Should our landlord do something about this?

We've been living in our rented house for just over a year. Since we moved in we noticed the toilet didn't always flush properly after a poo. Sorry for TMI but it would often sit on the bottom of the bowl for a good few flushes before finally going. It doesn't always happen but occurs about once a week. It pisses me off as I hate seeing them in there and it also makes the toilet grim. The toilet isn't very modern so is it something the landlord should do something about?

Don't think you can make a particular fuss ,often it is how you flush . If a plumber is required for another issue mention it then.

I would mention it but not expect anything to be done unless a real problem (leak, backing up) comes up.
