My hand has been forced and I am getting 2 rooms decorated this week (family have offered and there are only 2 rooms which we are not doing other things to) so dining room and ds's bedroom.

I have decided on either (going to see which looks best today) F&B Wimborne White or Pointing for the south facing (but currently quite dark due to overgrown garden, not going to be addressed for some time) dining room and F&B Borrowed Light for ds's brighter south facing bedroom.

The testers on the wall look ok but feel I need to check with the F&B experts before I splash the cash and the whole room looks terrible...

Thanks. (I am still struggling with the rest of the house though)

Colour is a personal taste, and f&b paints do look different in different rooms, but what I would say is that we have pointing on all of our ceilings instead of white and it looks white. Personally I'd use something warmer in the dining room, Joa?s White or Dimity maybe?

I think borrowed light will look nice, cool and bright.

Pointing is quite warm. We have it around and about our house mostly on the woodwork and on the ceilings and compared to bright white is is much warmer. TBH the colours you have chosen won't look terrible as they are quite neutral, the ones I find the most difficulty with is the cool darker colours.

Thanks. My head is swimming with colours! I have always liked crisp white kitchens and dining rooms, especially as it has wood flooring and is the only room I can do a scandi look in!

And yes to the colours looking different in each room. I have slapped a bit of each paint in every room and am amazed how different they all look!

I have Pointing in my north-east facing sitting room and it warms it up nicely. It's definitely different to white, which we have on the ceiling and woodwork. Very neutral and goes with everything.
