Hi there

We're in the middle of building works for extension to house new kitchen. We've got pricing for Corian (to wraparound island) but loved some concrete worktops I've seen on here surfacedetail.co.uk/photo_gallery.htm then select moulded concrete. Does anyone have any knowledge/experience of this material?

Also, I've seen a double stainless steel belfast sink which I love but cannot find anywhere. Has anyone ever seen one for sale? I've found single not double - pparently they are more common in the States but don't want to have to ship one!!!
Many thanks,

Franke do the sink but it is £££££££££ but is available in UK for sure. I love the poured concrete looks great when polished and sealed and really hardy

Also worth considering micro concrete as it is able to be trowelled and not as heavy becoming v popular with architects as you can use it in flats as it is not so heavy

Belfast sinks were made from ceramic and never metal, I have a few old ones in storage but they are really heavy. I think the sink you are looking for is called a Jawbox sink.

I have these they are fab, we tried it our selves first in the utility room and i can only say the results we mixed. For our kitchen we then used this great company called Concrete Tuesdays www.concretetuesdays.co.uk/ who installed beautiful bespoke concrete worktops and island. We love them they have really made our kitchen the heart of the home.
