Thinking of buying a stainless steel American style FF. Like the Rangemaster one cos it is not too deep so wont stick out too much from the cabinets. Any feedback?

Hello, we bought rangemaster appliances including the french doors dxd fridge freezer. Loved the range cooker, but I was really disappointed with the fridge freezer and sent it back. It just didn't seem great quality or look as nice as expected. It also had black plasticky tops and sides which for us didn't work as it was freestanding, allbeit in an alcove (info before purchase clearly said fully stainless steel). Actually even built in, we would have seen the plaaticky black sides. We sent it back and got a fischer paykal which is much nicer although not American style. Hth x

Yes, we have it in cream to match our oven (an excellent reason for choosing an appliance!) and are happy with it.
Have had no issues with it, the freezer is a bit small but I think that's quite common in these designs.
Ours has cream sides and isn't at all plasticky so perhaps there are different versions about.
Oh and we bought it late 2007 btw.

Gosh thats great advice. I know now we need to see one to check the sides. Was def expecting stainless steel all over! Thanks.

I'd steer clear of Rangemaster and DXD fridge freezers. After 6 months and one visit (with incorrect parts) I'm still waiting for a fix on a new unit.
Very poor, and not a premium supplier
