Does anyone know what's happened to the Primelocation.com website? It used to be my first choice for a fix of property porn but now it's awful!

It's definitely gone to the dogs although I find it works faster now - probably because they don't seem to be updating as much anymore.

I think there's quite a shakeout going on in the online property search market.

Rightmove are totally dominating the market.

Home.co.uk and finadaproperty all re-direct to Zoopla now. Globrix is anti-intuitive functionally and the little 'niche' websites are coming and going overnight.

Seems like an emerging monopoly position for Rightmove.
Zoopla are reasonable competition but their functionality is not as good so I expect they'll go by the by in a couple of years too.

Actually, I think the problem may have been connected to viewing the website on my iPad. I've now downloaded the app and it seems a bit better .. I can see the photos at least!

i've been using zoopla more recently..

there are functions more readily accessed using it (better for sold prices).

though my main addiction is rightmove.

possibly primelocation working faster as fewer users?

I often think 'location location location' is becoming redundant - pretty much everything gets listed on rightmove (aside from a tiny minority of self-marketers). you don't need someone else to search for you, you can let your laptop do the looking...
