Got someone building some floor to ceiling wardrobes in the bedroom. We have Ikea Pax insides, and he is effectively building a shell around them, using MDF to make the doors, and using beading to give a panelled door look. However, he has put beading all around the edge of the doors as well, whereas I thought he would make a panel using it in the middle of each door only. It has resulted in twice as much wooden beading being needed (at £3.50 a length!). Why would he do it like this, as no doors I have looked at on google have a beaded edge as well as middle panel? Not sure if I like the result or not - hard to tell until it all painted - but it's a bit late now that it is all nailed and glued down!
