Integrated diishwasher

Before I lose the run of myself...how/where is my dishwasher front attached to the cupboard door?! Need to repair handle but have been all round the thing and cant find how it is attached!

Are the screw holes covered by plastic caps?

When you open the door outside of the line of the seals is there a bit of the metal door which projects either side? Are there screw heads visible in that projection? Maybe 4 or 6?
