Changing plans once you have planning permission

We had planning permission granted for taking down the old lean to extension and putting on a 2 bed, bathroom and utility rm. We had it priced but with current money situation decided not to add the bedrooms and have just replaced the roof on existing lean to, plus added 2m to the length of it.

Can we go back and have the plans changed to cover what we have done or do we need to start again and look for retrospective pp?

What we have done hasnt changed the look of the house it has only improved a rotten old 6m long by 2m wide lean to that had a tarpaulin roof on it when we bought it. We have only increased its size by 4sqm and so im not even sure we need pp but know we will need a building warrant just not sure if we can go back to the person who dealt with the pp on our extansion plans or do we have to submit brand new application.

Anyone know?

Ring the planner that dealt with your application- usually you would need to submit a new consent for changes, but fromwhat you have actually done, given the sizes it may come under permitted development rights anyway. Have you got building regulations approval? That you will definitely need.
