My ideal home

Just up the road from me is a little area called Trinity Green, 10 or so houses that used to be charity homes for the wives of sailors. They are set around a little green, gated off from the main road, church at the top of the green and they are just amazing. I love them. We rent and the going rate is just slightly too high for us, but in a couple of years I would LOVE one to be available and for us to move there.

They are just so nice and cosy looking, lots of original features, love the idea of living round a green but in London zone 2...sigh.

Funny you should mention Spitalfields but the worst/most house envy I ever had was for a client's house near there! It was a lovely little Georgian place. Too small to be a "forever" house but I didn't have the DC then so was not swayed by such practicalities. The owners had decorated it fabulously in an eclectic/historical style (very discrete plug sockets in special floor traps, copper bath etc). Totally impractical but very romantic/classy....sigh.....
