Want overall aesthetic to be French industrial/utilitarian. Looking for ways to cut costs as head has been turned by beautiful in frame wooden kitchen. This will be cheap as chips and with right handles/lighting/worktops etc could look quite good? Plus very easy to clean!

link here!

It looks good. You are in exactly the same quandry as me - have you seen it in reality, or just pictures?

Do you have a quote yet?

I'm not a huge fan of Howdens kitchens

pre assembled carcasses mean they are a pain to store and if the cupboard needs any alteration you have to butcher them as they are glued rather than screwed together. You also can't level them very well if your floor is uneven

the bigger cupboards have a center post which restricts access and the wall cupboards only have 1 shelf so they waste a lot of potential storage space

have you looked at this

it's a lovely warm grey colour -the colour of the bank of tall units and they ALWAYS have a sale on lol

I've had 4 homebase kitchens in different houses and would always go back

it could look very nice. I am not convinced with how they have styled it, but then I don't think any of the Howdens kitchens are styled well in the brochure. What worktop, tiles etc were you thinking of?

Thanks better...I'm not great at posting! No quote yet, trying to decide if it's worth getting one.

The Homebase one is lovely workshy but I want a more traditional feel. Maybe that's what you mean by styling justasecond? We are going for painted reclaimed floorboards on the floor, white metro tiles with grey grouting, wood and slate worktop, industrial pendants and stainless steel freestanding appliances. Will this kitchen just look totally out of place next to all that?! But then it's SO simple I feel it could take any styling?

grey slab doors look like grey slab doors

you can style them to look traditional or modern, and you are right they will take any styling

I do think you need to look at them in the flesh though as like anything they have a tone -warm/cold and you really can't tell from a picture
