We have inherited fitted wardrobes in our bedroom - we removed the horrid sliding mirror doors when we moved in and currently have tab top curtains up instead of a door. The interiors are falling apart and we would really like to replace however we have very limited space and limited depth. The current depth is around 43 cms - and the hanging rails go from front to back rather than from left to right. We would like to have the rails going from left to right and also much prefer to have hinged doors rather than sliding doors. Does anyone know what the minimum depth required is for traditional left to right hanging rails and what is the recommended space you'd need for opening of hinged doors?
Also has anyone heard of or used a company called Zutux.com who seem to have some very good deals on made to measure fitted wardrobes?
Any tips gratefully recevied - I know people have highly rated IKEA on previous threads but these will not fit our space so we are going to have to get something made to measure but can't afford to pay a ridiculous price!
