Atm we have a 3 double bed house.

Was originally a 4 bed but they have removed the wall (but left the door!)

How much does it cost (approx) to put a stud wall back?

Thanks!

We had a quote of about £1,000 from a local builder.

We just turned our large bedroom into two smaller rooms.

There was alot of extra work involved because the walls/ceiling/floor were all pants. We also had electrics/plumbing etc. But ours came to about £6K .

I would imagine that you would get a simple conversion like yours done for between £1 and £2 K

My husband did it! There was no electric points or radiators.

He just built a wooden frame.. then nailed in plasterboard sheets. Filled it in with filler. Then, cut skirting boards and glued them on.
He's no builder or carpenter, but had a fairly decent electric saw, and just did it.
It looked brilliant. You would have never thought he did it.
Has your other half got a helpful friend or family member to help him?

There are no electrical points/rads to move or anything as it was originally 2 rooms that have been made into 1 so it has 2 rads, 2 wondows etc. dorru still there, just covered up with stud wall (I assume)
