Fence repairs

Hiya

My neighbour does general building/garden work and has done stuff for me in the past. Three panels in my garden fence were blown down in the winds recently and he has quoted me £150 inc VAT and labour to replace and repair them. Does that seem reasonable? Usually I would get quotes but I have used him before and it keeps neighbourly relations good.

Thanks!

Yes, at least one, I can't remember, it might be two. I think one of them can be reused.

if the posts are wooden, they usually rot at the bottom and have to be replaced. It is a lot of work if they were poked into a huge lump of concrete in the ground that has to be broken and dug out. That's why I greatly prefer concrete posts, or concrete spurs, since they don't rot and you are not faced with the awful job of taking out the old concrete lump ever again.

how reasonable the price is depends on what he has got to do with the old posts.
