what colour for one wall in our bedroom?

We are finally getting round to re decorating our main bedroom. It's a decent size with a south west facing window, bed is light wood as as the bedside cabinets and dressing table. The curtains, which we would like to keep but don't have to, are a light linen-look with a small brown/tan strip.

We'd like to make the wall behind our wooden headboard a feature. Any ideas please?

I love Homebase one coat in - sunlight.
we have used it time and time again.
At present in our bedroom with same colours you have and also in our lounge with cream sofa, green/blue curtains.
I am painting the kitchen wood in our buy to let with it this week!
It is a very sunny, cheerful yellow but subtle ifykwim! lovely hues when the sun shines on it in different seasons. Atm in the low winter sun the reflection in the landing if the bedroom door is open is if I have left a light on.
Love it!

Ooh, good idea. I kind of wish we'd done the same actually.

If you want a strong contrast, I'd go for a deep greyish-blue or greenish-blue. Deep ocean colours iyswim. Would contrast well with the light wood furniture and brown tones in the curtains.

If you don't want a strong contrast, then maybe browny neutrals to tie in with the wood/linen. Eg elephant's breath or stony ground from farrow & ball.

thank you both - off to check that colour pippala. Minipie, we have elephant's breath somewhere in the house, I definitely remember that name. I'm going to look at that colour again too. Thanks both of you.

fancy a laugh at my expense? I went out yesterday to get a sample of the sunlight paint that you'd mentioned. I thought i'll go to a large store then it will have all the different brands. I went to B&Q! Doughnut huh?
