Linea 24 combi boiler - has anyone got one? It has a
'lock out code number 3' and has stopped working. To do with the fan and flue. Does anyone have any idea what to do?

No we haven't, I have discovered that I do have cover for emergency call out if the boiler is less than ten years old. W moved in last year and can't find the receipt. Does your DH know any way of finding out the age of a boiler?

I have serial number and model etc. volkera helpline closed till tomorrow

when our lock out light comes on (potterton combi) usually means something has gone that needs replacing

Does it have a water pressure gauge? If so what's the pressure?

The manual (online) says "flue problem call engineer".

Hmmm shit, I think my emergency cover deal (comes with my bank account) only applies if the boiler has been serviced in last year. We moved in six months ago. And haven't serviced it (dufuses I know)

For some very random reason I was talking to our plumber today about boilers and he was raving about your particular make of boiler, he didn't mention a model in particular (plus would be v worried if I'd remembered in that much detail!) but he said the helpline was amazing. Obviously he's a professional but he said his wife has also dealt with them and they have proper engineers who talk you through things, rather than call centre monkeys. So give them another call in the morning and hopefully it will be something they can talk you through but if not then at least they can tell you what it's likely to be so you're armed with that info if you do need to call someone out. No idea how we got onto boilers as he'd only come to pick his son up who'd been to play after school!

And just a thought about boiler service, did you buy your home as the previous owners may have had it serviced???

LOL. That's not what my plumber said when he replaced ours :)

I'm just sad that I remembered! Must get out more. Any boiler that works is fine by me! Off to hide now...
