Estate agent photos this morning!

Help! The estate agents have just asked if their photographer can come round later this morning.

Despite years of watching property and housekeeping programmes I have suddenly gone completely blank.

What should I prioritise, other than hiding all clutter and making the taps sparkle??

Hide all the clutter, ensure taps, sinks and worktops are clean, a fresh vase of flowers on the table and perhaps not too many personal photographs on display?

Also, ensure curtains / blinds are open as I personally don't like est agt photos where the curtains are closed and the lights are on...

Nicely made beds
Toilet seat down
Hide everything in cupboards/wardrobes
Move pet beds/bowls
No washing drying on radiators
Make sure your windows are clean
Good luck

Thank you! I wouldn't have thought of the loo seat. But I do I have some crisp and spotless bedlinen ready to go on, as soon as DP gets up and out of the old stuff. Shower gel etc hidden? Or nicely arranged?

Hide all the bathroom products.
Plants/flowers in rooms
We took some rugs up to show the oak floor. Makes room look bigger.
Hide all evidence of pet.

Agree with all the above - especially having curtains as fully open as possible.

One more thing to add. Make sure trailing wires are tidied away. I've seen lots of photos where there is a big black wire which draws the eye and makes the room look messy even if it isn't.

Gah! They've cancelled because the rain will make the shots look gloomy. Possibly rescheduled for tomorrow.

I am now blacking the grate!

Oh yes hide all bathroom clutter - I'm contantly amazed by how many people show kids toys, countless shampoo bottles and overflowing storage.

Photos done at last, and I suddenly love my house again now it is all spotless and shiny and nicely presented! I just mustn't open any cupboard doors before moving. Thank you for the advice!
