Using a Handyman...anyone?

I've owned my own house for the last 3 years. As time has gone on, various things need repairing or cleaning. I've tried to keep up with a lot of it, but for 2 of the years I lived alone as a single parent, so it was difficult.

So, as the list of jobs is ever growing, I called a Handyman, who is coming to quote me on the jobs tomorrow. He charges £20 for the first hour, and £10 an hour after that.

I need 2 interior doors hanging and painting. Shed door (DF 'accidently' pulled it off!!) re-hanging. 2 fence panels fixing, and painting. Exterior windows cleaning and UPVC cleaning. Bath re-sealing. Shower screen fitting. 2 very small (10cm) pieces of skirting board attaching and painting. Drive way pressure washing. Driveway re-pointing.

I just want everything done! I work full time, DF doesn't. Last year I did the windows and the pressure washing, but this year I just don't have the time or effort to put in to it!

So do you think using a Handyman is a good idea? Or should I get a joiner for example to do the interior doors etc.

Now I think about it, I have various other jobs I might want doing too...hmmmm!!

I have a handy man, he put 2 wardrobes up for me last week for £20 & next month he is coming to help put the new kitchen sink in.

He's handy because he is good at lot's of DIY, he has hung blackout blinds for me & put some wall paper up etc.

I found this one through yell.com. I'm excited that he is coming to price things up tomorrow! How sad!
