Am struggiling to find anything other than blue stripes/checks/football,football,football for boys. Don't get me wrong he loves his footie but does he have to have his whole room decked out in the stuff! Where can I buy something-else...? He loves yellow and a whole host of other colours and things like birds, bikes, trees, animals etc. Why are boys so limited in retail land????

Not that I'm bored or anything, but how about space, don't all boys love Star Wars? and comics? Or you could just buy a plain cover and dye it a funky colour.

What would he like?

My 9 year old is going off the whole theme idea. And if I was buying new stuff I'd want to make sure it would last another 5 years, ie, to early teens at least. So sensible is best I'm afraid, in my books.

My son is 7.5 so a bit younger, but he has a duvet cover with a photo of dolphins (he's really keen on animals and especially sea life), with a lovely green and blue rug that is a bit sea-like, plus a turquoise beanbag and small blue bookshelf. All the other furniture is white. If it was our own house I'd be tempted to paint a wall blue and put up a mural of tropical fish.
