Anyone got a Rational kitchen (German make)?

As above, have seen one (a few actually) we really like and the company has been around to measure up - just waiting on them getting back to us with a layout design/costs.

No idea of cost (bit scared about that) - does anyone have one? How are they for durability and cost? I am under the impression quality will be good because they are German and I am sure they are much more expensive than Wickes/B&Q, etc.

Does anyone have any experience/advice about them? Would be very grateful! TIA

We have one, which is a couple of years old. Yes, they are quite expensive, much more so than Wickes / B&Q, but the quality is far better, IMO. This is the second German kitchen we've had (previously had Bauformat) and my builder DB was so impressed by the cost and quality of the first kitchen that he bought himself the same when he moved house.

The only niggle I have is that one of the doors chipped slightly six months after fitting, and I think there must have been a fault in the finish for that to happen. They'd discontinued the colour, so I didn't think there was much point in complaining, as they couldn't get us a new door.

Hello
I would avoid the white or lighter colour units . My rational Kitchen has twice gone a horrible yellow colour and I am having trouble getting them replaced . Its only some of the door fronts so its obviously a problem with the manufacturing . I would try another brand or stick to the dark colours .
