Hi EA just called, we've got 4 viewings booked for tomorrow and Saturday - not had any viewings for about a month!
Should I get my hopes up?!
They're first time buyers all of them :/

Yes! We had a sale fall through back in late September. then 2 viewings, then nothing. then two new cancelled viewings followed by a crazy low offer (what we paid for it 5 years ago) followed by them cancelling a 2nd viewing and then offering 10K more! Has been bizarre. It's Christmas in a week or so, and having accepted their offer (A fair bit lower than the first sale that was going through) we are expecting them to have a new 2nd viewing this weekend.
It does happen, but with a toddler and christmas 'mess' everywhere, it's a bit mad round ours at the moment. Good luck!

we bought and moved in, all in december once. Offer on the 1st, moved in 21st. And if they are first time buyers, even better

We made an offer on a house on Tuesday of this week. 93% of the asking price but, much to the Estate Agent's surprise (and ours) it was rejected. It seems they want 100% of the asking price even after 6 months on sale without any other offer.

We have just taken our house off the market. Can't stand the thought of it having to be neat and tidy over the Christmas break and, in any event, need a break from the emotional turmoil of it all.

Good luck to you though. Hope it all goes smoothly.

Am amazed your offer was rejected, dejavue.

What I mean about the first time buyers is that they're the only ones who've been viewing our place and we've had no offers. E A said they're all worried prices will drop in spring!

we were in your position fortress. we managed to sell our flat, but hadn't found anywhere, so moved in with parents with 2dc, and the house we found was empty, we were in a good position with nothing to sell, so swooped with a silly offer and it was accepted. we did a bit of dashing about to get all the paperwork done, but it is entirely possible to move in 3 weeks! Fingers crossed for an offer on yours shortly Smile

We saw a place on Wed last week, made an offer on Sat (having done building report and searches) and exchanged on Tuesday. (System is a bit different here in NZ). We move in the first week of Feb and I am so relieved to have this sorted. We spent most of 2010 looking for a home. It has totally sucked.

Ah I really hope we get an offer!!! One viewing has just been cancelled :( apparently they didn't realise it was a first floor flat! You'd think our EA would have told them that! Anyway still have 3 booked! Am manically tidying, got one at 1 today.
Just don't know how much longer I can do the viewings! So hard to get the flat viewing ready!!
Only been on since beginning of November but EA are suggesting we drop the price... Feeling desperate :(

3 weeks to exchange would be a dream! Wow!

Thanks for the good luck wishes, boy do we need them :)
