the key thing seems to be getting a confirmation. so i've just added some top trumps and paid £1 for some ben 10 walkie talkies a ben 10 bottle thing and some cars top trumps - DS will LOVE them. thanks.

i only got confimration once i spent over £25 and not on £25 on the nose. look in track orders and see if showing.

So if I have ordered, put through card details and not had a confirmation should I order the same thing again but then add something small to make it over £25. Or might I end up getting two of the same thing?

Slightly suspicious though that littlewoods have done this in the past and then withdrawn the discount for anyone who was not eligible to use the code.

Just wondering why they're doing it again, and if it isn't a cunning marketing ploy to get people to shop there when they wouldn't otherwise...

The terms and conditions that I agreed to very clearly said that if the order was dispatched and I turned out to not be eligible to use the promo code then I would be billed for it..

at what point do they decide if you are eligible or not though??

The new reports from when it happened 2 years ago say that people were billed about 2 months later.

So that's a possible nasty post-xmas surprise. I really hope that's not what they're planning, but it seems odd that having been stung before they're doing it again.

I don;t know either. It might be fine, but I would say, don't buy anything that you wouldn't be prepared to pay full price for if it came to it.

Yeah, me too, but someone mentioned to be careful on the other thread.

I just think it's weird that they're doing it again, given what happened last time. The cynical part of me thinks it would be a good way to get people to buy a load of stuff that wouldn't otherwise buy in the recession.
