hiya,
I am keeping my ones I think but yes, the stripey one is girly-ish and very summery...am using it for summer than prob putting away in winter
just bumping this for someone on pushchairs who was looking for pushchair that takes heavier weight etc
xxxx
Lecohen, have you got your stripey one? Is it very girly. I like the look of the pushchair, but I'm worried it might look too girly in rl and dp wouldn't be very pleased.
Is it what you expected?
The problem with the one you mention is the seller - I sent him like a hundred messages and never got a response and called the helpline number also about a hundred times and no one answered.
Besides that, the black denim is rarer and almost NEVER comes up on ebay.
It is a used buggy with normal signs of wear but is in very good clean condition, I wasn't disappointed for the price I paid, just really wanted the stripey one with black frame.
Let me know your thoughts anyway, no pressure!
Happy to have 2 anyway lol
Thanks Le, I will have another look at them online and make sure it's what we want (have since bought Maclaren!)
What kind of condition is it in - is it relatively unused all round? The stripy ones seem to be £39 + post on ebay so I was hoping to get something for a bit less iyswim, but fully understand your position re getting back your outlay.
hiya, yes I would be happy to post once I receive the stripey one...would like to get back near to what I paid if possible - I paid just over £50 what with travelling as well and cleaned it up and barely used it to be honest since I bought it...would £47 delivered sound ok for you?
Hiya Lecohen,
Have been looking for one of these for ever - they are far and few on ebay. I wondered whether you'd be prepared to post your black one, we are in kent - if so please let me know what you'd like x
What is the stripe like. I have seen that one, but worried it might be too girly for ds2 and dp would have a fit if I put him in a girly looking buggy.
thought I'd resurrect this thread as although I already have one, I just bought another on ebay in the stripes which I really like so might try to sell my denim one.
hiya,
there's one on ebay now...every now and again they do come up.
I can make it fold with raincover in basket now...the recline is like the pop, not completely flat but flat enough.
other thing is have you notice ther arnt many for resale....could this be cause there so good ???
hi!
glad you like it
I'l check mine but im sure mine ;ays flat and folds with raincover in the pocket..il check...sorry husbands been away but he's back now wahoooo

The Visio has poor resale value though, fortunately I bought in sale so didn't make too much of a loss on it
The eagle is discontinued now but didn't rate it very much...looked very funky but it tipped with the slightest weight on handles BUT what was most annoying was the wheels - they had a "mudguard" cover whereby wheels and twigs would get trapped underneath and then the wheels wouldn't turn...I took it on a beach holiday and I couldn't push it over the sand at all - Ok, I know they are not designed for this purpose but my combi flash managed perfectly well!
The Britax Visio I liked and ticked lots of boxes but was a bit too bulky when I used it for nursery run as they have a small doorway and it used to get in the way.
It has lovely padded fabric (although I disliked the large side wings as made the sitting area a bit narrow but my nearly 3 yr old dd didn't mind it) and an accessible basket (although I couldn't fold it if I left the raincover in the basket (so annoying).
Was good with a buggy board though!
Was nice as a pramette but baby outgrew it within a few weeks.
If you have specific questions, please ask x
What was the visio and the eagle like?
I quite like the look of M&P Cybex with bar handle but scared to buy from them new due to their poor aftersales
Hiya,
Have had quite a lot actually - Currently have Bug Frog, combi flash, babydan stockholm and mac Volo...
have had:
Britax Visio
Bruin Alpine
Big 3 wheel jogger (My Child)
Hauck traxx Eagle
Hauck I'coo Infinity (sold for a friend but tried it for a little while)
Firstwheels city elite (belonged to SIL but tried it)
ABC design Astro
Britax Italian Collection pram
Combi WE2 (double)
Safety 1st tandem (double)
Not as much as others on here...what are your requirements?
decisions decisions

what else have you had?
Hiya, no combi flash is lighter and more steerable due to bar handle but not good if you are tall as it is low and not good for buggy board which is why i wanted the babydan...otherwise the combi is one of my faves and has outlived all my others

lecohen is it lighter to push than your combi flash? i liked the look of those too.
Hi Tracey, how are you?
Thanks for asking...yes I have been using it for a few days now and generally I quite like it...Mine doesn't recline completely flat, does yours? but it is sufficient for my 6 month dd to sleep in it happily. The brakes are a bugger to put on (don't bother anyway)and the wheels don't turn as smoothly as my Bugaboo but don't think anything in this category would.
I use it with a buggyboard and it is excellent. Yesterday I took my almost 3 year old out in it for a couple of hours...she usually NEVER rides in the buggy anymore BUT I asked her to sit nicely for shopping and she looked so comfy in it with plenty of space...I have a pet hate against BIG kids in buggies but she didn't look bad at all and I was very pleased with it's performance.
I find the fabric on the seat lovely but not as padded as I would have liked but a nice liner solves this.
The basket underneath is useless really but not a prob for what I actually use it for. I do like the big pocket at the back of the buggy though, it's so useful and fits quite a lot.
Also, when I fold it, the side that clicks it shut doesn't hold it properly if I lift the buggy by the handle...does yours? BUT I love how compact it is folded.
Most of all, love that it is sturdy and anti-tip given that it is a lightweight stroller.
Bet you are sorry you asked now given my ramblings lol x
lecohen have you had a play yet??....do you like it darling?
xxx
Hi nappyaddict..i havent had as many as some to compare but to be honest i wasnt comparing it against anything...i just wanted a pushchair that would take a heavier weight (even though our children are light!...thought it might last longer)
I have (in use) a neo nato travel system
had a infinity - sold
got a micralite - fab for hols
got a my bear - selling as needed a umbrella fold double
got a phil and teds E3 - selling as would like a ??? quinny buzz 4 or mutsy lightrider or similar
so as you can see these are very different...in my opinion i dont find it heavy or hard to push etc.
love the fact that it can lay flat etc....
easy to fold etc
oh.....shh got a maclaren techno double hiding!!!
dont know if that helps
so lechoen have you tried it?? do you like it?? etc etc

Hiya, guess what, I found one local to me on ebay and bought it - It is black denim and in really good condition...It is really nice but think I may have paid too much for it (£40 and drove for 40 mins to collect) but really like it, will give it a spin at 3 when I go to collect dd from nursery so will see if it was worth me dreaming about it for the last few weeks lol
I did want to buy the stripey one but the seller wasn't responding to my queries.
Can you tell me if your handles move a little? I think it's because they are adjustable but thought I'd ask.
Hope you are enjoying the weather x
Hi again,
Hope you and the kids are well...can I just ask, is it worth spending £30 on the matching change bag? It's like half the price of the pushchair...is it worth it? Many thanks x
babydrip what other pushchairs have you had to compare to the babydan?
Hiya, sure I understand, don't blame you! I'm in Stanmore Middlesex (London borders).
Hope your girls are well x
arr bless you your ok darling...just i cant always get online...depends on children.
i wished i could find that link where i seen them...have you tried ebay?
tbh as this pushchair takes a huge weight id rather wait until our second daughter is not needing it
where a bouts are you?
If your local, u cud pop over and see it in real life.
hth take care....nighty nights
xxxx
so sorry to pester you hon

Keep thinking about what buggy to get but keep coming back to this...I would be willing to buy from Babyoka for £59 but they don't respond to my queries so a bit concerned about that...are you thinking of selling yours?
Many thanks for your help x
sorry lovey....been manic here dont know why just been one of those weeks!
Sorry havent done pics yet...hopefully get time tomorrow - tho wer'r taking the girls swimming first thing then going shoppin for eldest daughters school uniform

yes it does lay completely flat...the top bit where the head is has an extra bit that you can have either unfolded so it sort of stands up....makes it look sort of boxed shape iyswim so more cosey for little ones...or if older you fold it over then its just flat like other pushchairs...
il try and answer anymore questions i can darling

I'm pretty good right now, have a Bug Frog and Combi flash...Neither are going anywhere as love them both.
If you fancy selling your package - or parts of it (if I can tempt you lol) please let me know.
Would love to chat more as have been teasing myself with the babydab and glad to catch you online but hub is getting pissed off with me and is summoning me to bed (to sleep not nooky lol)
Good night for now x

no worries...
hummm let me think about it... haha
il see if i can find the website i found them on.....
my dh said the other day was i selling it!!!

i said no! as when youngest gets older it'l be ideal for her! (she's only 21 weeks at the mo!!! lol)....it was only cause i said i was selling my phil and teds as would like another reverse facing pushchair! lol...
though i do have a 'my bear' one im hopefully in process of swapping for a maclaren twin, a micralite fastfold - cant possibly sell as fab on hols.
a travel system with carrycot that im using now....not to bad me thinks!

Oh thanks so much, you're a star! I'd love to see the liner and thingy you made for it too

Do you still use the bag? Want to sell?

O think I will go for it...Just really bummed because Babyoka (the co that sells) don't respond to my emails and neither does the ebay seller (although I think they are babyoka too)

il take some pics tomorrow.
fabric is nice sort of thicker deck chair tyoe iyswim, washes fab!
the bag is lovely...lots of pockets...and in same candystripe...il take pics
I made my own liner and stayput blanket...as i last used it in Feb when we went skiing, so made a thick pink fur stayput blanket....
wheels...mmmmm 'normal' whatever that is! lol! not tiny like a lot of umbrella's ive seen but not huge!

sorry not much help there! lol
sorry ive not used a buggy board with mine so wouldnt know.
hth...anymore just ask
xxxx
Hiya,
Thanks for replying x
Is the fabric nice? Did you manage to find a footmuff to match? Am thinking of getting the same one as yours...but can't decide on it for sure...should I bother with the bag?
What are the wheels like?
Can I see pics of yours?
Do you use it with a buggy board?
Many thanks in advance

sorry darling didnt see this
yep got mine from ebay 2nd hand, complete with raincover and change bag.
fab pushchair...mines in candystripe very cute!
reclines flat and the end (where babes head is) can either be sort of turned up (making like a carrycot type) or down like normal.
handles adjust - very sturdy and robust!.....doesnt feel particular heavy when pushing etc.
the only fault with it is the rubber on the handles had sort of 'peeled' a bit but i trimmed them and are ok now.
If you need anymore let me know.

My dd2 had a broken leg with full leg cast in Sept 08 when she was 3.6yo and weighing 14kgs but is 1m tall. She did
not look squashed in it at all. The top of her head was not at the top of the back and even with a winter coat on (cast was on till late October) she did not fill up the width of the pushchair while she looked v. squashed in a Mclaren Quest the previous March. Her foot only barely rested on the foot rest too. The wheels are bigger so the whole pushchair is about another 2cms off the ground compared to McLarens.
It was the perfect pushchair for a child with a broken leg as with the newborn function where the front bit slides out, it supported her leg with the cast. In fact, dd2 has never been in this pushchair as I always had her in a wrap sling with dd2 in the pushchair.

As for pushing, I didn't think it was hard to push. I have only pushed a McLaren Quest and this Babydan so I don't have much experience to go by.
I'll send my friend a link to this page and hopefully she will be able to answer you soon.
oh fantastic that would be lovely!
bless you! hope your having fun!...is it heavy to push or??? our little one is 3 and half, petite and weighs 15.1 kgs thats why i liked the look of it

sorry about that. dodgy internet connection
sorry, i can't as i am in abu dhabi and my pushchair is in the UK. we forgot to bring it out.
it will take a 4yo on the 90%, if that is any help.
i have a friend with one and i could ask her to measure it, if you like. she recommended it to me in the first place and wrote a review for it somewhere. i'll google to see if i can find it.

There's a great video demo of one on youtube by Kiddicare!
I have one. It is fab. a big 3yo does not look squashed in it. It should even be able to take a 4yo but I don't have one.

IMO the suspension is better than that of a Mclaren Techno XT. In fact it is all over better than a mclaren and just that bit bigger in every way. It is built to last and last.
I thought that they are no longer made. Is that true?
Hi all just seen that this can 'take' upto a fair weight!....has anyone seen one or used one??
