Prenatal education system - seriously?!

Just leafing through a catalogue and came across 'Baby Plus prenatal education system'. It seems to be a device you strap over your bump to 'teach your baby to learn before it's born'. Are they serious? Who would buy such a thing? Oh, and it's £100!!!!!

i can only assume it's for people who don't know any newborns - surely it would be obvious that they don't like being stimulated when they're not in the mood. how can you tell what mood a fetus is in?
it's just plain rude - like a neighbour who plays loud music at night.

i saw the nct were selling it. i was a bit surprised. i'd personally prefer if they tried a bit harder not to project a smug middle-class middle-aged image. but at the same time it's something to amuse me.

It was in an NCT catalogue that I saw it. No offence meant to anyone, but I dislike even those Baby Einstein things. Babies and toddlers have enough to learn, mastering walking, talking, eating, etc and they'll learn all they need to through play and normal interaction with parents and other children. They don't need to be educated, especially not before they're born!!!

great stopped me buying this couldn't see how it could work. So tell me whats the current thinking on playing music to your baby(ies) in my case. Does it work - do you need fancy belt? it is ok just to play stuff through normal speakers? Have noticed they move more when listening to piano - my imagination or is there something in it

please bear with me first time I ve done this!
