WANTED: Does this exist? A sturdy children's arm sling in a pretty fabric...
DD (4) has a broken collarbone. Her sling from the hospital is just a bit of thin calico and doesn't hold her arm very firmly, and it falls out at night.
Does anyone make more sturdy arm slings for children, perhaps in a nice fabric???!
I don't know if you can buy one, but you wouldn't need much material (or much in the way of sewing skills!) to make your own - it's only a triangle of material.
We used to make them in Girl Guides - any square of material, fold into a triangle and tie up. Took 10seconds to do.
My mum used headscarves for me when I fractured my arm !
Yes, JollySlings: www.jollyslings.co.uk
Dont buy one - any piece of material cut into a triangualar shape will do!!
Agree, that's what I did. Hemmed it though as frays alot otherwise.
