Does anyone have any recommendation for good SUV's which fit three high-backed boosters across the back seat? I want to be able to take friends' children safely and our current car fits only two proper high backed boosters in the back and I don't feel comfortable putting a child in the front seat with the airbag disabled. I've looked at the Audi Q7 and the Volvo. The Volvo has more space, but only if you use the in-built booster seats, which are not high-backed and so are not as safe. The Q7 is a squash and it's hard to clip and unclip the seat belts, which doesn't seem safe if you had to get them out in a hurry. I see loads of Landrover Discoveries around that seem to fit three across the back, but I can't find any info on it online or on the website. Any recommendations/info gratefully received!
The Discovery is great with three HBB in the back, though with more children in the car, I usually end up putting the 6/7th seats up and the 4th (middle) seat down to give them more space. But we can get 7 large (ie all over 6 ft men) adults in the Disco with no problems or squashed legs, so it is v roomy
