Pierre Fabre Laboratories are a French pharmaceutical company who has a leading global presence in dermatology amongst a range of other disease areas. Their product portfolio includes DEXERYL® cream from their Pierre Fabre Dermatologie range and Avène, from their Dermo-Cosmétique range.

Pierre Fabre Dermatologie have asked Mumsnet to find 150 people who either have eczema themselves or who have a child who has eczema (or both) to try DEXERYL® cream emollient and to report back on Talk about their experiences.

Some information on DEXERYL® cream is available below:

"DEXERYL® cream is an emollient which combines 15 per cent glycerol, improving skin hydration, with 8 per cent white soft paraffin and 2 per cent liquid paraffin.

This combination helps to prevent moisture evaporation, enhance skin hydration and improves the skin barrier function. Patients should apply a thin layer of cream to the skin once or twice daily, or more if needed. As DEXERYL® cream is lanolin and fragrance free it suits most patients with dry skin, atopic dermatitis and ichthyosis.

The combination of glycerol, which improves skin elasticity and white, soft paraffin and liquid paraffin in DEXERYL® cream offers a highly acceptable non-sticky and non-greasy formulation, which patients have stated they significantly prefer in clinical trials.

DEXERYL® cream is safe to use in adults, children, babies, pregnant or breastfeeding women.

To be in with a chance of testing this emollient please fill in your details here. All we ask is that you return to Mumsnet by Friday 20th November to give your feedback.

Everyone who is selected as a tester and who offers feedback will be entered into a prize draw to win an Avène and Klorane hamper worth £250 (containing products such as Ysthéal eye contour cream, Ysthéal emulsion, a papyrus mask, a bathrobe, some gentle gel cleanser and factor 50 suncreams).

Thanks and good luck
