Anyone got an inset day on Friday 9th July?

DC are off school and I'm thinking of taking them to Legoland. But the last time I did that on an inset day, the world and his dog were there too. So I'm checking this time! Thanks.

We don't have an INSET day then but some of the private schools close to us will already have finished by then, one finishes tomorrow and another on Thurs so it may be busy anyway.

We finish Thursday (north herts).

We have one (Herts). Not going to Legoland though so that's 4 fewer people for you...

My older two have an INSET on the 9th (Surrey, within Legoland striking distance), but the younger one, and several other local schools had one last Friday instead.

I always go to such places on INSET days; they won't be deserted but are bound to be a lot quieter than usual. In fact, DD1 will be at Chessington on Friday with her mates!

Neither DD's school nor the one I work at has INSET this Friday. Friend's children's school doesn't either.

DD is in an independent school and she finishes a week on Frida; the local state schools finish the Thursday after that.

I went on 19th April which was an inset day for DC and it took me an hour longer just to get into the car park! We went back on the 20th (also an inset day) and it was deserted!

Was thinking we might go to Chessington instead, but that's now looking less of an option too!

Oh well, I'll have to stay at home and do some housework.

We don't in Cheshire but Niece does, she lives in Nottingham.

We went to Natural History Museum on inset day in May and it was deserted. Hate crowds so much that I'd never teken the DC before even though my oldest is now 8.

Not in North Hampshire (also striking distance of Legoland)

Not in Norfolk and we can get to Legoland in a couple of hours from here.

But Scottish schools are off, there maybe some of them. We stayed at a lovely campsite near Henley last year, so there will be people around on holiday.
