Assessments for Homeschoolers

Dear mums,

I am a homeschool mum with four children and I would really appreciate if anyone could help me regarding assessments. I am interested to know, whether are there any assessment that maybe taken by homeschoolers in order to "benchmark" their progress as well as identify any possible learning gaps?

As a trainee teacher I want to scream that "assessment does not mean test!" Okay got that off my chest now.
