St Hilary's, Godalming?

I'm going to see the school soon. Any views, hoping DD will go until 11 and DS will start at nursery and go until 7.

How is the school viewed in the area?

Don't want to get into private/state debate but we will move into the area just before September next year so state reception not really an option for DD.

I have a friend who had a daughter there. The school seemed good/ok and her DD was happy there but very much a second choice to St Catherine's in Bramley.

As soon as a place was available at St Catherine's my friend moved her DD there. I have a feeling St Hilary's is less academic? Will ask for more detail if you like?

A friend's children (4 and 6) go there since moving out of London last autumn. I'd need to double check but I think she's been happy with it so far.

Sorry, that's a bit second hand but I don't live in the area any more.

I may try for the Guildford girls schools but that will mean they will have to go to separate schools and I will spend my days in the car and trying to park.

Waiting to hear back from my friend, will let you know. Her son goes to Cranleigh at the moment, he's quite young. She didn't consider St H's not sure why, will ask.
