The class my 6 year old lo is in are quite a 'lively' bunch, there have been ongoing issues with behaviour. They use the sun/cloud method as part of discipline. Apparently there have been lots of issues with kids messing about and/or talking in the toilets and cloakroom before and after lunch, so the school have introduced a monitoring system. Basically a boy and a girl in the class who have been particularly good get to be monitor they check the toilet and cloakroom and report to the teacher if anybody is talking that child then goes on the cloud. I think is a crazy system for many reasons not least that kids are already starting to say I don't like you anymore you got me on the cloud, but before I mention it to the head wanted to check if this sort of this is normal practice
Thanks

This is normal practise in our school too, tbh I don't really have a problem with it

Sounds a bit like tittle tattle to me. Never heard of the sun/cloud method.

I view it as down to the teacher to maintain control and discipline and not to have other children reporting back.
