Do Mums usually stay if there's a year one party at a child's house? Thanks.

I'd say it depends on the child, the party venue, and how well you know the parents.
Your party or is your child a guest?

My child is new in the school, know no parents yet, in birthday girl's house.

I would stay in your situ. DC wouldnt stay otherwise (2 clingy). Tell parents in advance & ask if U can help out.

half and half I'd say, I would only stay if the parent is a friend and/or needs help.

I'd be more likely to stay if I didn't know them very well, as dd1 is unlikely to want to stay on her own - she is only in reception though...

it depends on the child tbh.
My DD would not want me to stay. Especially if I would be the only non-party parent.
But she is pretty tough.
Year one is old enough to ask the child. What does your DC want you to do?

Perfectly reasonable to stay in your situation - explain to Mum that DC hasn't got to know everyone very well yet, and would she mind if you sstayed. In my view the more adults to help the better
