Hi everyone,
I've just put an offer in to buy a house in Merrow, and I was wondering if anyone on here lives there? Can you tell me if it's a nice place to live? Good state primary schools?
I have a 2 and half year old daughter so am hoping to meet some nice people with children, and to find a good school. Any advice would be very much appreciated. Thanks Love Mollie

Merrow is nice, so is the surrounding area, the nearest big town has rather good shops!! if you head out in the other direction there is lots of country side. The traffic can get a bit busy though, but hey ho.

They have quite a good NCT thing going with socials and things. I was at one some time ago and there was a discussion going on about deciding on primary schools, apparently Burpham primary, in the next village and with an off stead report that made them one of the top primary schools in the country, and Merrow primary are neck and neck with parents not sure which is best! So for primary schools you should be ok!! The local secondary is rated highly as well.

Hellooo,
Merrow best place for schooling in Guildford, probably - Burpham Foundation and Boxgrove primary both excellent, assuming you can get in! Lots of NCT etc activity in the area. You'll like it here.

Thanks for you replies. Do you know of any good nursery schools around there, I have looked at a few and haven't really liked them, so any advice would be greatly appreciated.

My friend has sent and is still sending one of her children to Sunshine in Burpham. It's in the Sutherland Memorial park near the large Sainsburys
