My PFB was bitten at school today

And I was remarkably calm and reasonable about it all I think. I even managed a rather tight smile at the parent of the little bugger boy that did it. I am not as upset as I thought i might be. Ds is fine - nasty bruise but no real harm.

Ds is only in yr 1 and they are so young and having to adjust to being in schoool after a summer of relative freedom. It is still common to have he odd biting incident at 5 or 6 I am sure.

Am I unusual to be so sanguine or are most parents more reasonable than some of the AIBU threads might suggest?

My ds was bitten badly on the neck at nursery by a boy who was later diagnosed as sn- his mother didn't even apologise.
I didn't make a fuss, even though my hackles were up- poor ds was badly bruised and skin broken.
Interestingly, they ended up in the same yr 3 class, and my son helped the boy with his maths.
Never had him home for tea though.
