starting up a PTA

going to the first meeting of the newly formed PTA. will be there as a parent governor - if that makes any difference.

what should we be offering / doing.

what works best etc really, any experiences of your PTAs.

Isn't it mainly for generating fund raising ideas?

Have a look at the NCPTA website, it is a mine of useful information. When we set up our PTA we found it extremely helpful. There is an annual fee but for that you get insurance cover etc which is useful.
