Is there anyone out there in Islington area who sends their child to Trevor Roberts School in Hampstead?

We have just been offered a place and are trying to figure out the "school run".

Thanks!!

Good evening, Has anyone been through a reception year assessment at Francis Holland? What should we expect?

Hi,

My son goes to St Mark's Square Nursery in Primrose Hill (I am hoping that he would get in to TR). I am also trying to work out the runs to the nursery. He goes there 9am-12pm. Do you think that we could help each other at all? We live just off Southgate Rd. Thanks Ella

Also to De Beavoir: Which nursery did your child go to before TR?

debeauvoir... i am sorry i can't help but do you mind if i ask you just how hard it was to get a place at TR? i was too late in registering dd1 (3), have managed to secure a tour for dd2 (7 months) in the hope they'll let me talk about dd1 too.... it seems just so hard (even harder than most private schools!), with endless rounds of interviews etc etc.

also, how does it work with the year 1 start? do they let you know at the same time as most other schools would let you know their reception intake (ie a year and a half in advance)? i quite like the idea of starting school later, esp as dd is in a lovely montessori nursery that goes up to 6 anyway, but i wouldn't take a risk!

now re school run- i am thinking tube would be easiest no? just a couple of stops on the northern line to belsize park.

My son is at Dallington and will start at Trevor Roberts this September. You need to register early and persist. We are considering moving as journey seems laborious (v. long walk from Chalk Farm/Belsize park tube).

Why aren't there any outstanding private schools in Islington?? surely a gap in the market.

Dear Seed
How do you get your son to Primrose Hill nursery every day - do you drive?
