Illness and first day at school

My dd starts primary school tomorrow and this morning is sneezing, complaining of aching legs and is warm. Both her little sister and I have this horrible cold and I am worried dd is going to be ill for her first day. Is there anything I can do to stop her being as ill as we have been? She is so excited about starting school and it would be such a shame if she was ill.

Not much you can do but dose her up with Calpol and give her lots of fluids..typical isn't it?

I cannot believe it, illness was not in my start school plan. She is now lying on sofa under a blanket looking all pale. I feel so silly for having this stupid cold myself.

oh no!

Is she doing full days or half days at first? Any chance of dosing her up on Calpol & Nurofen for the morning? The excitement of it all might keep her going for a bit?
