..are there any Mumsnetters whose children go to Murston Junior School in Sittingbourne.. or know anyone whose children do?

If so, please can you tell me when they go back to school? Is it Mon, Tues or Wednesday??

I know this is terribly disorganised of me but I have been disorganised with good reason.. and now can't find any letters nor am I in social contact with any other parents (we live in a different town.) I have three kids in three different schools.. take pity on me someone please. If DD is back Monday I need to know!

Please help if you can.. I know it's a long shot.

Thank you.

search for your town/city website and term dates should be on there.

Agreed term dates for Kent schools - but it says schools can determine their own 'non-contact days' Murston doesn't seem to have a website, but St Peter's school starts on Tuesday if that's any help (may not be as it's Catholoc & may have different dates.

Not sure this is really any help...

Or you could ring the education department of your local council? (OK, not until Monday morning though, so maybe not such a bright idea )

Have googled but can't find a website for them.

Holywell school which is also in Sittingbourne starts on Monday. You might like to try some of these, if you recognise which ones are in Sittingbourne.www.kented.org.uk/ngfl/schools/primary.htm

They don't have a website.. and I have just rung school to see if there was a message (good idea Doodledoo) and there wasn't.

I have ascertained that in our area the official first day of term is Monday.. but most schools I know of (have been asking everyone) don't go back on that day. But I can't take that risk, not send her, and just ring them to find out! I would freak if she should should have been in!

Arrgh!

(Thank you for responding though..)

Well I can ring Monday can't I? There might be someone in.. (and there'll definitely be someone in if it IS the first proper day of term! [eek])

I am anti social with reason Fio (But those reasons would not apply to any potential Mner Murston Junior parents obviously! )

Very long shot I know, but would it be in a parish newsletter when local schools re-open. Ours are, but are church schools so maybe differnt.

It's ok.. I found one of DD's classmates in the phone book and rang; her dad has told me it's Tuesday. Hardly anyone is in the phonebook these days! No one they have had to turn it half classified!!

Thanks all
