Applied for DDs primary school place, put down three preferences. If we are lucky to get an offer from any of preferred schools, do we only get an offer from.obe school, or is it possible to be offered a place at more than one?

You get offered a place at the school that you get into that's highest on your list of preferences. You don't get offered them all and then pick, so it's important your list really is in the order of preference.

Wherever you live in UK, it's one offer only.

The narrow exceptions are if there is a new free school which might be outside the main system in its first year of operation. Or I suppose you could say a placing request in Scotland (which you could decide to turn down after all and go to your catchment school) is a type of second place.

The LEA sees if you qualify for the schools you listed as preferences. If you qualify for more than one you will be offered the one you ranked highest.

So list your schools in the genuine order you like them. But do have a 'banker' on your form - ie a school which you are as sure as you can be hat you'll qualify for. Because it's better to be at a school you're a bit iffy about, but which is logistically convenient, rather than one you're just as iffy about and which could be anywhere
